Tiger & Chile was founded by chefs Devon Gonzalez and Lincoln Choi, longtime friends who met over a late-night street food crawl and bonded over their shared love of bold flavors and boundary-pushing cooking. Devon, a proud East LA native, brings deep roots in Mexican comfort food, while Lincoln, born in Seoul and trained across Tokyo and New York, adds precision and umami-rich intensity to every plate.
Together, they created Tiger & Chile as a space where tradition meets rebellion — where birria simmers in ramen bowls and sushi rolls are filled with fire-grilled pastor. Every dish is a tribute to their heritage and creativity, handcrafted to surprise and satisfy in equal measure.
What started as a napkin sketch and a tequila-fueled idea is now Pasadena’s hottest fusion kitchen — built on culture, friendship, and a whole lot of flavor.
